From the very beginning of the SoDA Association, we’ve been guided by one idea: support and integration of the IT environment in Poland. On a daily basis, we help our members in such areas as law, exchange of experience, knowledge sharing and supporting diversity in the organization. We believe that together we can do more. We make sure that the brand and reputation of Polish programmers are synonymous with the highest quality and reputation.
We’re also open to integration and getting to know other people, just like that. This gave birth to two cool initiatives, which we support from the bottom of our heart: SoDA Breakfast and SoDA Locals. Sounds interesting?
How about breakfast?
The idea for a SoDA Breakfast was born in July 2019 and was initiated by Bartosz Borkowski, chairman of the Meetings and Networking Committee from createIT. Since then, we meet once a month in seven cities in Poland over a nice breakfast to discuss business, customers, and the problems and challenges we face in our daily work. The meeting is open to owners and key managers of Software House companies.
A local partner organizes the meeting in one of seven locations. So far, the meetings have been held in Warsaw, the Tricity, Łódź, Katowice, Kraków, Wrocław and Poznań.
From the beginning I wanted to integrate the Software Houses industry by organizing local meetings for top managers and empowering personal relations between them. Such meetings give rise to cool ideas for cooperation, know-how exchange or mutual support. I am glad that the SoDA Locals project is growing and more and more people want to join us. In contrast to other industries, we do not want to rival but support each other. And we are doing well – Bartosz Borkowski, chairman of the Meetings and Networking Committee, createIT.
The focus was the main theme of the meeting, which we discussed in smaller groups. The topics covered included cooperation with other countries, experience from the greatest failures, and effective “bench time” (effective management of programmers during project downtime).
We’re currently working on a new formula for these meetings, which will also be based on the integration of local software houses, but we also want to invite external experts to share their experience. We’ll also introduce registration for meetings through the evenea system. Relax, breakfasts will still be free of charge 😉

SoDA Locals, meet me after hours
As they say, a programmer doesn’t live on work alone. Once a quarter, we invite bosses and C-level staff to a less formal evening meeting over a beer. We meet to chat and get to know each other better.
