The Association of IT Service Employers \u2014\u00a0SoDA (Software Development Association Poland) and Microsoft have announced their partnership. 107 Polish IT companies affiliated in\u00a0SoDA, hiring approximately 12 thousand employees overall, will receive help from Microsoft in\u00a0the form of educational projects for engineers, as\u00a0well as\u00a0technical and business support in\u00a0the use of cloud solutions provided by\u00a0Microsoft.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The report \u2018Cloud Computing in\u00a0the Banking Sector in\u00a0the World, Europe and Poland<\/a>\u2019 prepared by\u00a0the Polish Bank Association and Accenture estimates that world revenues from public IT cloud services reached USD 182.5 billion in\u00a02018. It is forecasted that the global cloud services market will be\u00a0worth USD 492 billion in\u00a02023.<\/p>\n

The upwards trend is clearly visible among the customers of the SoDA member companies, which provide services to\u00a0enterprises in\u00a0every European country, North American countries, as\u00a0well as\u00a0Asia, Australia, and Africa.<\/p>\n

\u2018The agreement with Microsoft opens up the possibility of rapid and global scaling of business, strengthens competences and competitiveness of our companies on\u00a0the global markets,\u2019 says Konrad Weiske, member of the SoDA management board and CEO of a\u00a0listed company Spyrosoft S.A. \u2018It is also important that the Microsoft data center built in\u00a0Poland will have a\u00a0Carbon Free status as\u00a0our customers pay attention to\u00a0that,\u2019 adds Konrad Weiske.<\/p>\n

\u2018We are observing a\u00a0growing trend in\u00a0the demand for services and a\u00a0strategy of switching to\u00a0cloud among the international group of Future Processing customers. The agreement signed by\u00a0Microsoft and SoDA provides member companies with access to\u00a0the latest knowledge, which is of great importance for rendering top quality IT services the Polish engineers are famous for around the world,\u2019 says Pawel Pustelnik, managing director in\u00a0Future Processing.<\/p>\n

Microsoft announced a\u00a0partnership with the Polish National Cloud in\u00a0May 2020 and declared a\u00a0comprehensive USD 1 billion investment plan aimed at\u00a0accelerating innovation and digital transformation for the development of Polish Digital Valley. The foundation of the multi-level investment is the opening of a\u00a0new Microsoft data centre region in\u00a0Poland and support for the development of digital competences in\u00a0Poland.<\/p>\n

\u2018This investment will strongly contribute to\u00a0the further success of Polish developers through creating opportunities to\u00a0advance key skills for approximately 150 thousand employees, partners and students. Microsoft Azure is a\u00a0service that helps both engineers and companies that provide services on\u00a0the world markets. The first Azure region in\u00a0Central and Eastern Europe will allow us to\u00a0maintain the highest cybersecurity standards, meet the requirements associated with data localization in\u00a0Poland, and ensure compliance with legal regulations, especially in\u00a0the case of organizations that have specific requirements in\u00a0the scope of data storage and processing,\u2019 adds Robert Badura, who is responsible at\u00a0Microsoft for the development of Azure technology on\u00a0the medium and small business market.<\/p>\n

In\u00a0the study entitled \u2018Cloud Computing in\u00a0Poland 2020\u2019 published by\u00a0the editors of the IT magazine Computerworld in\u00a0April 2020, 96% of companies are thinking about using cloud tools and services, and 40% of companies hiring from 501 to\u00a01000 employees have a\u00a0strategy of transition to\u00a0cloud solutions. 38% of companies hiring from 1,001 to\u00a02,000 employees are technologically prepared to\u00a0move to\u00a0this kind of solution. The most popular cloud provider (according to\u00a0answers to\u00a0a\u00a0multiple choice question) is Microsoft with 31% responses.<\/p>\n

Software Development Association Poland is a\u00a0union of employers operating in\u00a0the IT sector, whose aim is to\u00a0exchange knowledge and experiences, as\u00a0well as\u00a0to\u00a0establish commercial collaborations and partnerships. This is achieved by\u00a0the organization of industry events, networking, and webinars, and also promotional and business support. The organization was established in\u00a02018 and so far has gathered 107 companies involved in\u00a0software production. The total turnover of the member companies is PLN 1.5 billion. The SoDA member companies hire about 12 thousand employees. They provide software development services to\u00a0customers in\u00a0every European country, North American countries as\u00a0well as\u00a0Asia, Australia and Africa.<\/p>\n

Microsoft provides a\u00a0platform of solutions that for others are the foundation for development \u2014\u00a0a\u00a0better life for citizens, transformation of Polish enterprises, schools, offices and expansion of Polish IT companies \u2014\u00a0Microsoft Partners \u2014\u00a0who create their own solutions based on\u00a0Microsoft technology. The company\u2019s aspiration in\u00a0Poland is to\u00a0contribute to\u00a0the creation of the Polish Digital Valley, where the technology allows for accelerating the development of Polish enterprises and organizations.
